Sapien Engineering is a Cleveland engineering firm. We design, build and run AI, automation, software, and the infrastructure under them, for businesses that need the thing built.

Who we are

A small team led by one principal, with developers, IT technicians and operations behind every engagement, and specialists as the work needs. We list the team by seat, not by name, on the Team page.

The name and the stamp

Sapien: the one who thinks. Human-led means a person answers for every system we ship, and signs it. Every deliverable carries the stamp, Inspected by human, with the number of the seat that inspected it. AI leverages the judgment; it never replaces the person who holds it.

The principal

Engineering is led by Ryan Luccioni: a decade of designing and running multi-site infrastructure and zero-trust networks for more than fifty businesses, and the systems under Work: a carrier's provisioning control plane, a HIPAA platform across many healthcare systems, a retailer's whole technical estate. The person who designed your system is the one answering for it.
