• Killing a shop-floor exploit with a mirror, not a lockout

  A commission scheme gamed through a state-tracking gap. Fixed in a day by making the gap visible: no lockout, no change to the system of record.

• Rebuilding a carrier's provisioning platform under a compliance deadline

  Reverse-engineered an undocumented appliance API and shipped a desired-state control plane in two months, replacing a stalled nine-month effort. Three years in production without a fault-driven change.

• Owning a retailer's entire technical platform, and holding it to one standard

  Point of sale, staff and customer applications, identity, telephony, AI, security. One architecture, rebuilt from a broken inherited integration, running the business today.

Sapien Engineering is a small Cleveland team. Engineering is led by principal Ryan Luccioni, with development, IT, marketing, and operations behind every engagement, on infrastructure we own and operate. The team scales with specialists and capacity as the work needs. The person who designed your system is the one answering for it.

How we work

AI to leverage judgment, code to leverage mechanical work. Most of the industry has that backwards. Every decision defensible as the long-term-correct one, not just good enough to ship. Know how little a problem actually needs before reaching for how much you can build.
